Key Stage 2

Our junior pupils take on greater responsibilities within the life of the school and thrive as a result. They grow into lively, confident young people with a zest for learning. They develop as individuals while retaining a warm, caring attitude towards the younger children in school.

Religious Education is at the heart of everything we do.

The house system remains an important part of our pastoral care, children being organised into four houses (St Anthony's, St Martin's, St Cecilia's and St Patrick's) for sports, quizzes, games and other activities.

At Key Stage Two, as throughout the school, we offer the National Curriculum as a minimum. Our pupils go well beyond this in their studies. We offer specialist tuition in French, Music, Speech and Drama and Physical Education and booster classes in Literacy and Numeracy where needed. We continue our practice of giving parents a "curriculum map", giving an outline of the topics their children will cover.

Preparing for examinations at 11 is stressful and our aim is to reduce that anxiety by making sure that children in their final year are well prepared and practised. We are justly proud of our academic successes. Our children go on to a variety of independent and state schools (click here for details).
