All our pupils take SATs at the end of Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. Our curriculum is much broader
than the range catered for by these national tests, but we have adopted the SATs for two
reasons:-
- to inform planning of individual pupils' academic progress relative to national norms
- to give parents an objective indicator of their children's academic progress.
We have children of all abilities and work to ensure that each of them reaches his or her own potential. Cohorts range from 26 to 33 and
the percentages achieving at least the standard appropriate to their age are shown below. Many of our pupils exceed this benchmark, of course.
Our Governors set us clear targets for academic performance, including targets relating to SATs. The Governors' expectations
and our determination to continue improvement in our educational standards form the basis of our continued academic
success.
